(Green Line C – Dean St Stop)
Join us for a short presentation about WE-ACTx’s work and to hear Kristin Lems, a feminist performing songwriter and folksinger from Evanston, IL and wonderful friend.
Kristin has performed with singers including Pete Seeger, Malvina Reynolds, Peter Paul and Mary and written and recorded classics such as Farmer (women being evicted from Midwest farms), Mammary Glands, We’ll Never Give Up (ERA struggle anthem), and Too Cheap to Meter (anti nuclear song we included on our 2007 CD mix). www.kristinlems.com
We’ll have Rwandan crafts and great desserts as well!
Hope you can join us. Mardge Cohen and Gordy Schiff
